Fishing from shore and pier

If you are fishing from the beaches at the Northwest coast, you can be lucky and catch sea trout, greater weever and plaice. You can also fish from the piers where you get the chance to catch sea scorpion, eel, herring, mackerel and garfish. Coastal fishing is for everyone. The experienced angler can find a challenge with fly, worm or spin on their hook, but the use is also easy for children.

In Denmark, there is free fishing from the shore and the piers, but everyone between 18 and 65 years must buy a statutory fishing license.

Freshwater Fishing

If you fish in put & take lakes, there is a good chance of catching trout, but sturgeon, pike and perch can also be found. Here you find family-friendly surroundings to ensure a great experience for the whole family. Moreover, you do not need a fishing license to fish at put & take lakes.

When angling in freshwater lakes and rivers, you can furthermore catch trouts, eel, roach, perch and pike.

Thorsminde Fiskeauktion

You can also visit a fish auction on an early morning. There are often set up special auctions for tourists in the area where you can buy fresh fish to take home for dinner.
