Hotel Schaumburg
Hotel Schaumburg is one of Denmark's old market town hotels in the heart of Holstebro.
The hotel has been lovingly restored so that today it appears as a modern hotel with the soul and the cozy atmosphere preserved.
The hotel has 57 rooms, of which 6 are hypoallergenic rooms.
There is free internet access throughout the hotel.
Many of the rooms overlook the Old Town Hall, where Holstebro's most famous work of art, "Woman on Cart" by Alberto Giacometti, adorns the small town hall square. Every day at 10am you can experience the "Maren", which the sculpture is called in daily speech, rising up from her underground security room.
In July and August, from Monday to Friday, you can join the Culture Watchmen on an evocative evening tour around the art in Holstebro city center. The tours are free and start at 7.30 pm by "Woman on Cart". Here the tours end again at 9 pm, where you can experience the watchmen singing "Maren" to rest, while she slowly disappears into the underground security room again.
Holstebro is the West Coast's cultural and shopping center with more than 200 specialty shops and also a thriving cultural life with Holstebro Art Museum, Holstebro Museum, Musikteatret Holstebro and Odin Teatret. Here you will find rich opportunities for active holidays such as angling, golf, canoeing and hiking and cycling.
