The whole world gets to know Thy
There was great excitement at the Northwest Coast when the news about Thy's placement on The New York Times '52 Places for a Changed World '-list arrived on Monday afternoon. Especially because that includes extraordinary mention that can not be bought for money.
Every year The New York Times present a list of destinations to which travelers should visit during the current year. In the 2022-edition one special destination is conspicuous, Thy. The area has godt a placement on the world-known list, which were presented yesterday on the January 10th.
With the name '52 Places for a Changed World', the list highlights 52 destinations around the world, where one as a visitor will have the opportunity to take part in the solution on problems such as over-tourism and clima changes.
With these terms in focus it is not that strange that Thy has got a place on the list.
Besides the areas impressive nature, consisting of wildernes, deep forests, open dune landscapes and the fantastic yet harsh North Sea, Thy is also a frontrunner in the work with sustainable initiative and an epicenter for renewable energy.
This is amazing because it is a great world-known travel list. For us and the area it means that a much larger audience will know about Thy and the Northwest Coast. This kind of markering is something we would never be able to buy.
