Kløverstier, Hirtshals (urban trails)
In and around Hirtshals you can follow the urban trails and experience both the city and the beautiful nature that surrounds Hirtshals. There are 4 different routes with distances between 2.5 - 16 km.
Follow one of the four beautiful urban trails in Hirtshals. The Urban Trails are a national concept which offers different trails with different lengths.
Den Grønne Kløversti/The Green Trail (2,5 km):
“Den Grønne Kløversti” will take you through a walk at Hirthals harbor and towards the beach, “Husmoderstranden”. Next you will pass Hirtshals marina and move further down the harbor toward “Vesthavnebassinet”. You will then move on to the rescue station where you during the summer can visit the station. Furthermore you will be taken to “Den lille Jollehavn” and towards “Vestmolen”. The trip will end at “Hirtshals Bedding” where the ships are being maintained or repaired.
Den Blå Kløversti/The Blue Trail (5 km)
‘Den Blå Kløversti’ will take you through the city center and down to the beach. The trail will take you past “Leret” and towards “Bunkermuseet”. Next you will follow the trail towards the iconic lighthouse and towards Hirtshals Klit. The trail will end at “Husmodertranden”.
Den Røde Kløversti/The Red Trail (7,5 km)
’Den Røde Kløversti’ takes you around the city center and through the pedestrian street. Continuing towards the neighbourhood of Nejst and the allotnment area “Bakkedal”. The trail will then take you towards Emmersbæk and around “Regnbuesøen” (the lake). Furthermore the trail will take you through “Folkeparken” and out towards “Lilleheden Trinbræt” where you will meet Montra Skaga Hotel and the North Sea Oceanarium. The trail will take you to the industrial area by Color Line ferry terminal, “Norgeskajen” and “Sydkajen”.
Den Sorte Kløversti/The Black Trail (16 km)
‘Den Sorte Kløversti’ will take you through the Lilleheden Dune Plantation. The trail will start at “Vesthavnen” and move further into Hirtshals Havn and out of the city where you will pass the North Sea Oceanarium. The Trail will continue towards Uggerby dune plantation through Lilleheden dune plantation and into the holiday home area I Kjul. The trail will continue through the dune plantation and back towards the city of Hirtshals.
