For most people, holiday time means relaxation and extra indulgence. This autumn, the North-West Coast offers a range of experiences that you can enjoy while indulging your taste buds.
We have gathered inspiration for eight enjoyable autumn experiences filled with history, passionate storytellers and local flavours.

Autumn means candles, delicacies and cosiness. Snuggle up indoors while the weather rustles the leaves and nature paints with a warm and beautiful palette of colours. We have gathered some of the best cafés and eateries on the north-west coast when it comes to indulging in home-baked temptations.
Join us on an exciting three-hour oyster hunt on the fjord, including a lovely boat trip departing from Oddesund. Here, the passionate guides from Jyllandsakvariet in Thyborøn will help you find the fjord's delicacies, and when the hunt is over, you can taste the oysters raw or cooked on a charcoal grill, accompanied by a glass of bubbly.
8 km south of Thorsminde and just north of Vedersø Klit, you will find the cosy Fjand Gårdbutik, an old dune farm and beach guard's residence that exudes a wonderful atmosphere. Here you can shop in the cosy store rooms, enjoy delicious specialities for lunch in the café or have an experience in the gallery.
12 km southeast of Nr. Vorupør and closest neighbour to Thy National Park, you will find the organic farm Gyrup, which produces its own whisky. Here you can take a tour of the farm, including tastings of Thy Whisky, locally brewed beer, meat and Thybo cheese.
Experience the active coastal landing site in Thorupstrand with its well-known blue fishing boats and award-winning fiskefrikadeller (fish cakes) from Thorupstrand Fiskehus, or purchase freshly caught fish to take home from the shop or smokehouse.
Brokmans embraces the autumn atmosphere with a menu that celebrates the season's fresh, local ingredients such as apples, pears, pumpkins and root vegetables. Here you can enjoy warming and rustic dishes that are perfect for cooler days, such as creamy soups, hearty open sandwiches with seasonal toppings and sourdough bread with deep, spicy flavours. The cosy atmosphere on the harbour quay in Lemvig is complemented by food that invites tranquillity and comfort.

Nr. Vosborg Manor House. Located 20 km west of Holstebro and close to Nissum Fjord, you can experience the historic surroundings and dine in the cosy restaurant. You can also stop by Nr. Vosborg's Speciality Shop and buy local specialities to take home with you.
