Hook & Cook is back with late-summer experiences along the entire Northwest Coast. Experience fish, community, light, music, harbor life, and local flavors as the coast comes together for a series of special events in August and September.

When late summer casts its warm glow over the Northwest Coast, Hook & Cook invites you to experiences where the sea, food, and community take center stage. Here, you can experience coastal life up close—from the small harbor communities and local ingredients to light art, music, fishing, and meals under the open sky.
Hook & Cook brings together a series of special events along the coast, where local organizers, chefs, fishermen, stakeholders, and volunteers create experiences rooted in what we have right on our doorstep: the sea, history, nature, and delicious flavors.

Hook & Cook stretches along the Northwest Coast, with events that each have their own atmosphere, flavors, and stories. Experience everything from late-summer magic by the lighthouse to a festival atmosphere at the harbor and fish served right by the sea.

28.-29. AUG - Crab Festival in Lemvig
The Lemvig Crab Festival is a delightful summer tradition for the whole family. Lemvig Harbor comes alive with crab fishing, contests, activities, booths, and plenty of excitement by the water. Bring the kids for a day celebrating the Limfjord, filled with crabs, harbor ambiance, and fun experiences on the pier.

29.-30. AUG - Løkken Pier Festival
The Løkken Pier Festival brings the town to life on the last weekend of August. Look forward to Art & Food on Nørregade, a free breakfast buffet both days, Clown Njetski, and plenty of activities and experiences for the whole family. A cozy weekend in Løkken filled with town life, creativity, community, and late summer by the coast.

4. SEP - September Summer Magic at Rubjerg Knude
September Summer Magic at Rubjerg Knude Lighthouse is one of Hook & Cook’s absolute favorites. Here, nature, light, music, and community come together in the iconic surroundings of the lighthouse, as late summer unfolds in a truly special way. An atmospheric evening for those who want to experience the Northwest Coast at its most magical.

5. SEP - Little Dubai Festival at Handbjerg Marina
Handbjerg Marina will take on a touch of Dubai when the Little Dubai Festival fills the harbor with atmosphere, experiences, and life by the water. Here, you can look forward to a late-summer day with the marina as the backdrop, offering something for both children and adults—from activities on the water to relaxation, food, and a festive atmosphere in the sun.

5. SEP - Coastal Festival in Thorupstrand
Coastal Festival in Thorupstrand brings together children and adults for a full day on the beach with music, activities, and a genuine coastal atmosphere. Enjoy a performance by Katrine Bille, concerts by Bifald and Soleima, open cutters, a market, food stalls, and meet-and-greets with the fishermen—right in the heart of one of the Northwest Coast’s most authentic fishing villages.

11.-13. SEP - All About Fish in Hanstholm
All About Fish opens the doors to the hallowed halls of Hanstholm Harbor and invites you inside for a weekend of fishing, harbor life, and experiences for the whole family. Get up close to the fresh fish straight from the auction, soak up the atmosphere at the harbor, and experience one of Hook & Cook’s most popular events, where thousands of guests gather every year to celebrate life by the sea and at the harbor.

12. SEP - Fish After Dark in Thorsminde
When darkness falls over Thorsminde, Fish After Dark begins. Look forward to an atmospheric evening at the harbor with light art, live music, roaring bonfires, and experiences for all the senses. Here, fish, the harbor, music, and darkness come together on a special late-summer evening by the water.
