In December, De Åbne Værksteder (The Working Studios) in Lønstrup open their doors to Christmas spirit, filled with the scent of workshops, creativity, and handcrafted treasures.
 

Here, you can discover truly unique Christmas gifts – from colourful ceramics and glass art to jewellery, paintings, and sculptures – all created by local artists and craftspeople who are passionate about their work.

On Sunday, December 28, Store Vinterbaderdag (Big Winter Bathing Day) in Løkken brings together seasoned winter bathers and curious first-time divers for a day of cold thrills, warm drinks, and genuine winter joy in the midst of the raw and beautiful dune landscape.

The last day of the year begins with fresh dips and big smiles at Sømærket in Blokhus. Here, hundreds of winter-brave “New Year’s bathing nymphs and beach lions” gather for the traditional New Year’s Swim, where everyone is invited to take a refreshing plunge into the North Sea on December 31.

After the swim, enjoy community singing, a Blokhus Bitter for the bathers, and warm laughter in the winter chill. And for those who’d like to heat up again, the sauna awaits right on the beach.

On Saturday 12 December, Julie Bertelsen invites you to an intimate and atmospheric Christmas concert at Nørre Vosborg.

Look forward to a wonderful evening, where Julie will ring in Christmas with both well-known classics and specially selected Christmas carols – performed with warmth, presence and Nordic tranquillity. Together with her orchestra and choir, she creates a concert that brings together music, storytelling and the peace of Christmas in historic surroundings.
