Naturrum Thyborøn - Playground
Nature space Thyborøn is an experience space in nature.
Here you will find a playground, cube, viewing platform, a "fox pit", campfire site, picnic area, hiking trails and living piles, where you can spend the night in your hammock.
Bring the family on a different experience with play and tumbling in the sand, relaxation, walks and immersion in the area's treasures of rocks, amber, bunkers and waves.
The elements such as Naturrummet are made up of characteristic material from the area: wood, stone, concrete and steel in the harsh environment.
Naturrum Thyborøn starts at the parking lot at the south end of Vesterhavsgade. There are signs that show the way. From the bike path you can walk approx. 100 m down to the campfire site which is hidden to the left.
In the area there is a covered rest area with tables / benches and a toilet. Above the dike there is a playground, viewing platform with a view of the North Sea and excavated piles for overnight stays.
Hiking trails
There are two hiking routes of 4 km and 11 km respectively. There are information boards along the way, which tell about nature and culture.
The long route of 11 km passes a bird sanctuary where you can observe swimming birds, waders and birds of prey.
