Lecture with Sara Alfort
Kulturhus Løkken presents Sara Alfort, a literary historian and journalist, who delivers an engaging and humorous talk about her book “Damer der fik nok” (2024), which tells the stories of 12 Scandinavian, female artists from 1915 to 1960.
In this lecture, Sara Alfort will delve into the stories and works of 12 Nordic women who lived through the period from 1915 to 1960 – a time that brought many significant milestones for women. From the fight for voting rights in Denmark to the birth control pill, which made it possible to decide whether or not to have children. These inspiring women fought for their right to love freely, travel without restrictions, and live lives that went far beyond the traditional roles of wife and mother. Sara will shed light on the barriers these women faced and show how their courage and creativity helped shape our shared history.
Come and be inspired by their remarkable stories, and learn how their fight for freedom still resonates in today’s society.
