Step into the sacred halls of Hanstholm as Hanstholm Harbour once again opens its doors to “Fisken På Disken”. Touch, feel, explore, and taste the fresh fish straight from the auction floor.

We're setting the stage for an eventful weekend with fresh fish, professional chefs, children’s activities, a recreational fishing competition, and top-class culinary experiences. Brand new this year: an extraordinary chef competition!

Friday, 12 September 2025

• 12:00 PM – Opening of Fisken På Disken in Hall 5

  • Tastings: The chefs open their kitchens.

  • Kids' zone opens with activities, workshops, and educational fun about fish (Hall 5B).

  • Fish shop opens – buy fresh fish to take home (Hall 5A).

  • Filleting service starts.

• 4:00 PM – Friday Bar
  Bring your colleagues and friends down to the harbour quay and warm up for the Fish Galore dinner.

• 6:00 PM – Fish Galore Dinner in Hall 5
  Enjoy a culinary experience when star chefs Karsten Kysten, Jesper Krabbe, Mohammed, and Emilie & Simon from “Lyspunktet” serve delicious fish dishes based on the day's catch, topped off with fresh vegetables from Grøn Thy.

  We dine at long tables in the auction hall with live music in the background.

  REMEMBER: When buying your tickets, write your name or company name – we are making a seating plan so you can sit together. Hanstholm Lions Club will be running the bar with drinks available for purchase.

• 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM – Hanstholm HAVNE CUP
  The recreational fishing competition begins (weigh-in no later than 2:00 PM and prize ceremony around 2:30 PM). Bring your own fishing gear and register on the day.

• 12:00 PM – Hall 5 Opens

  • Tastings: The chefs open their kitchens.

  • Kids' zone (Hall 5B).

  • Fish shop (Hall 5A).

  • Filleting service.

  • Boats docked at the quay are open for visits.

• 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM – Fish Biology & Anatomy
  Drop in for hands-on fish dissections with Badass.biology in Hall 5B. See and touch a wide selection of fish species from the North Sea.

• 1:00 PM – Fish Auction (Hall 5A)
  Take part in the open auction and bring fresh fish home at low prices. Freshly cooked crab claws will also be served for lunch.

• 1:30 PM – Oliver Bendi’s Cooking School
  Join in – no registration required.

• 2:00 PM – HAVNE CUP Award Ceremony
  Weigh-in and winner announcement for the fishing competition.

• 2:00 PM – Experiences on the Quay
  Food stalls: Tastings from the chefs.

• 2:30 PM – The Big Slidske Race
  Take part in the funniest event of the year with your own homemade vessel – or cheer on from the quay as the Slidske Race begins.

• 6:00 PM – Fish Galore Dinner in Hall 5
  Same amazing setup as Friday: Top chefs, fresh fish, local vegetables, long-table dining, and live music.

• 10:30 AM – 3:30 PM – Fish Biology & Anatomy
  Drop in for fish dissections with Badass.biology in Hall 5B. Explore the diversity of the North Sea fish – hands-on!

• 10:45 AM – Gourmet Competition – First Seating
  (Final judging at 2:30 PM)

• 11:30 AM – Filleting Competition
  Once again, we host the legendary filleting showdown where skilled competitors demonstrate their precision and compete for the title of Hanstholm’s Sharpest Knife.

• 12:00 PM – Gourmet Competition – Second Seating
  (Final judging at 2:30 PM)

• 1:00 PM – Gourmet Competition – Third Seating
  Freshly cooked crab claws available for lunch.

• 1:30 PM – Fish Auction (Hall 5A)
  Join the open auction and grab great deals on fresh fish.

• 2:00 PM – Rescue Operation
  Come witness a full-scale sea rescue demonstration with a helicopter – a thrilling experience.

• 3:30 PM – Thanks for This Year – Fisken På Disken Closes
