Join us for a unique Folk High School at the Seaside Hotel experience for seniors at Hotel Strandlyst on the North Jutland west coast – surrounded by beautiful nature and a stunning beach. Here, you’ll enjoy an authentic Danish folk high school atmosphere combined with the charm of a seaside hotel, delicious food, and wonderful surroundings.
Together with the experienced folk high school couple Pia and Søren – former principals of one of Denmark’s oldest folk high schools – we invite you to a week filled with community, reflection, cultural outings, and good old-fashioned Danish hygge. And yes – singing, games, knitting, sea dips and much more are all part of the program.
Your week includes unforgettable experiences in North Jutland:
Visits to Rubjerg Knude, Lønstrup, Skagen and Voergård Castle
A taste of local bjesk (herbal schnapps) and meetings with passionate locals
Singing, listening, laughing and sharing stories
Full board is included, with all meals served in the cosy and charming lounges of Hotel Strandlyst. Entrance fees and transport during the stay are also included (excluding drinks, except for water, coffee and tea).
