Guided Mushroom Foraging – From Forest to Delicious Appetizers

Nature guide Jacob Kofoed will lead the tour and share fascinating stories about mushrooms, with a particular focus on which mushrooms are edible and which ones should be avoided.

The mushroom hunt ends with a closer look at and identification of the mushrooms we have found at the picnic shelter. Feel free to bring a basket for collecting mushrooms and a small knife. We will have freshly brewed coffee ready for you, but you are also welcome to bring your own hot drink.

After the mushroom hunt, chef Esben Daarbak will create delicious appetizers using seasonal mushrooms and other wild ingredients from the forest. These small dishes will be served with a chilled glass of white wine or a non-alcoholic drink from SuperBrugsen Løkken.

Programme

10.30 am: Mushroom foraging with nature guide – feel free to bring your own basket and a small knife for the mushrooms.

12.00–12.30 pm: Identification and review of the mushrooms collected during the day. Coffee will be available.

12.30 pm: Chef Esben Daarbak shares tips and tricks for using mushrooms in cooking while preparing a selection of appetizers made with seasonal mushrooms and other ingredients from nature. A lovely glass of wine or a non-alcoholic drink will be served alongside.

1.15 pm: End of the event.

Practical information

• Buy your ticket here or through Løkken Tourist Office - Last registration deadline October 12. th. at 12 pm.
• Please arrive in good time. We meet at the picnic shelter – follow the beach flags in the forest.
• Feel free to bring a basket and a small knife.
• Wear practical footwear and clothing suitable for the weather. The event takes place outdoors.
