Historical mystery trails in Holstebro
Step into a real-life detective story with Holstebro Museum. Book now.

West Jutland offers exciting experiences focused on history, mysteries, and interactive puzzles.
Together with Holstebro Museum, you can take part in historical mystery trails during the summer holidays, where you become part of the story and help solve dramatic cases from the past.
These experiences reflect the growing true crime trend, where visitors analyse clues, solve tasks, and uncover the truth behind historical events.
Two different mysteries await in the city centre of Holstebro: a dramatic case from the occupation period involving the betrayal of a resistance member, and the mystery of the Great Fire of Holstebro in the 18th century. Both experiences combine city walks, historical clues, and interactive challenges where participants must think like investigators.
The mystery trails start and end at Holstebro Museum and guide visitors through the streets of the town, where they collect clues, decode information, and piece together a larger historical narrative.
The experience is ideal for families, groups of friends, and visitors looking for unique holiday activities in West Jutland, where cultural history and gamified learning come together.
The mystery trails must be booked in advance. Please note that some dates may be sold out.
