Waste stations - Way Out West
Sort your waste and empty your toilet tank only at the designated stations – this will help preserve the natural environment of the West Coast.
Experience and Protect the West Coast as a Motorhome Tourist
When traveling by motorhome along the Northwest Coast, you have a unique opportunity to get close to the Danish West Coast – while also helping to protect it. An important part of this is proper waste sorting.
Når du rejser med autocamper ved Nordvestkysten, får du en unik mulighed for at komme helt tæt på den danske vestkyst – og samtidig være med til at passe på den. En vigtig del af det er korrekt affaldssortering.
How to Sort Your Waste
At most motorhome and camping sites in the area, you will find modern waste stations where you can easily sort into the following categories:
- Residual waste
- Plastic and food/drink cartons
- Cardboard and paper
- Metal and glass
- Hazardous waste (e.g. batteries, spray cans)
Clear signage is provided at the stations, and if in doubt, the staff will be happy to help.
Emptying Toilets and Wastewater
- Toilet tanks and greywater must only be emptied at specially designated service or camping sites.
Always fill fresh water only from the marked water taps.
Why Is This Important?
By sorting your waste correctly, you contribute to recycling valuable resources and reducing the impact on nature. This helps ensure that we can all enjoy the West Coast for many years to come.
