Safety

When engaging in stand-up paddling, it's important to be aware of certain safety elements. With the following five basic rules, we will help you have a safe trip on the water.

  1. ALWAYS use a leash (the rope that connects you to the board).
  2. Remember to wear a life jacket (it is illegal to paddle without one).
  3. Take your phone in a waterproof bag.
  4. Do not go out on the water alone, and inform someone of your plans and expected return time.
  5. ALWAYS check wind and weather conditions before heading out. Do not go out in offshore winds if you are a beginner or less experienced.
