The museum in Vorupør has been established in a former boat builders yard, where cutters were built for the coastal fishermen. The original machines have been preserved and renovated, so that at certain times visitors can see the wheels and parts in action.
The museum also depicts the historical background of Vorupør. Once a prominent fishing town with 27 large coastal boats. Details are shown of the coastal population's living conditions, their toil and drudgery and the religiose coming.
Vorupør museum is also one of the "stops" of the tour "Snapseruten". See more about Snapesroten here.
