SANS: Frozen Springtime in Iskunsten

Experience a unique exhibition of extraordinary ice sculptures, brought to life through the interplay between crystal-clear ice and light

Following an extensive renovation, Iskunsten in Thyborøn reopens its doors with a new and spectacular exhibition created entirely in ice.

Frozen Spring is a tribute to brighter times - a moment when winter’s grip slowly loosens and spring reveals itself through cracks of light, color, and renewed hope. The exhibition captures the transition between cold and warmth, stillness and movement, where ice both preserves and transforms what it encloses.

At Iskunsten, fragility and strength meet in works that balance between the fleeting and the monumental. Here, the clear surfaces of ice reflect the first glimpses of spring - like frozen memories of something yet to come. Dripping edges, encapsulated forms, and the interplay of light and shadow create a sensory narrative of transformation.

Frozen Spring can be experienced from March 28 through May 31, 2026.
