Race For Oceans - Beach Walk & Talk & Clean-up
For the 7th year, we’re uniting ocean lovers in Løkken – this time with a focus on community. Walk, listen, connect and protect marine life together.
For the 7th year in a row, we're gathering ocean lovers – this year with the theme of community.
We celebrate our love for the sea and local togetherness with activities around Løkken, our base for the past 5 years. Here, we shine a light on UN Sustainable Development Goal 14 – Life Below Water.
We’ll go on a walk of about 5–6 km, starting at North Shore Surf Café, heading north or south through the dunes – depending on the wind. Along the way, Signe, founder of Race for Oceans and professional ice swimmer, will share stories from the journey since 2019 – always with love for the ocean and a twinkle in her eye.
We'll collect waste along the route – with a special focus on microplastics and plastic pellets, the hidden pollution. Feel free to bring gloves and your favorite people.
We use upcycled kitebags for collecting – made from old kites, they’ve been flying with us for 3 years and still going strong!
North Shore Surf treats all kids to an ice cream after the walk.
We can’t wait to see you on the beach!
