Kunsthal Thy: Opening of the solo exhibition "Out of Frame" with Yalda Afsah

We are delighted to welcome you for the first time to Kunsthal Thy’s new exhibition venue. From 2026, we will be located in the barn of the historic manor, Boddum Bisgaard.

On March 28, 2026, from 1–4 pm, the opening reception for Yalda Afsah’s solo exhibition Out of Frame will take place. Here, you can experience impressive video projections by the Berlin-based German-Iranian artist. There will be free refreshments and free admission, and the opening speech will begin at 1:15 pm.

The films of Iranian-German visual artist Yalda Afsah are documentary portraits of relationships between humans and animals, revealing an ambivalence between care and control, physical strength and broken will, instinct and manipulation. Afsah works to dissolve the boundaries between these opposites while creating space for reflection on the possibility of an all-encompassing empathy between species.
