Living at the Open Air Museum Hjerl Hede in the weekend before Christmas. Christmas preparations are at their fullest everywhere. You can see how the Christmas pig is being slaughtered in old fashioned fashion and cooked for Christmas in the kitchen. At the Baker you can buy freshly baked Christmas cakes. At the grocery store you can get cheese and candy. According to traditions, you can ride a horse-drawn carriage and try the steam train to Flyndersø. The museum store sells old-fashioned jewelry and decorations. Last weekend there is a big Christmas market in the visitor centre.

The open-air museum Hjerl Hede invites you to experience the good old Christmas when the museum opens the doors to houses, workshops and shops in the weeks of advancement up to Christmas.

Christmas preparations are in full swing everywhere. Every three weekends, you can see the Christmas tree being slaughtered in old fashioned fashion and cooked for Christmas in the kitchen.

At the Baker you can buy freshly baked Christmas cakes. At the shopkeeper you can have cheese and candy, and Pommerensskal and Sukat for home baking.

Traditions are held at Hjerl Hede. Try a horse-drawn trip around the village, or try the steam train, which runs to Flyndersø in steam and smoke.

The museum shop offers old-fashioned jewelery and decorations. Here you can buy Christmas presents or dram and Christmas mustard for Christmas lunch.
