Hike - Ryde Plantage

Ryde Plantation was in the year 1900 meant primarily as production area of pine wood.

Today pine has almost vanished from the plantation and is now a natural Danish forest.

Ryde Plantation invites you to use two of their different hiking routes.

The blue route is 1 km and starts in the old beech forest, and passes some of the old peats. The peats today appears as marsh and the rare sharpsnout frog breeds here.

Red route is 3 km and here you can enjoy marsh and forest lakes. Various pine sorts can still be found on this route along with oak, willow, asp and ash.
