At MTB Slettestrand, you can rent hardtail mountain bikes from Whyte with flat pedals, so you can ride in regular shoes. The bikes are checked after every rental, thoroughly serviced over the winter, and replaced as needed.
Just as importantly: safety is covered. A helmet is required, and you can borrow a SMITH bike helmet free of charge (or bring your own).
Trails close by
The Slettestrand area has trails in both Svinkløv Plantation and Kollerup Plantation, and you can buy trail maps at reception. The routes are well marked, and the team is happy to help you find a ride that matches your level and the trip you’re dreaming of.
Svinkløv Plantation: approx. 24 km – the route is also mentioned as one of the Danish Nature Agency’s “10 Spir”.
Kollerup Plantation: approx. 6.2 km – a great loop with an easy to moderate difficulty level.
If you’re up for more, you can also combine the forests on the Svinkløv + Kollerup route (36 km).
