If you need a break from roller coasters and high speed, hop into the saddle and enjoy a horseback ride through the forest around Fårup. Here you’ll experience nature up close — on calm Icelandic horses and accompanied by an experienced guide.
Before you fasten your helmet and head out for your first loop through the forest, there are a few practical things worth knowing — especially how to make sure you get a spot.
Choose the ride that suits you
Confident beginner (7+)
For those who have ridden before and can control the horse on their own. You start in the stable, where you help get the horses ready, and then you ride out into nature.
Duration: approx. 2 hours (about 1.5 hours on horseback)
Pace: walk, trot, tölt, and possibly canter (if the group is up for it)
Led rides (for everyone)
Perfect for the youngest riders — or if you simply want a calm, easy ride. Here too, you help groom and saddle the horses in the stable, and then you go for a loop in the forest. For led rides, you must bring an adult who can lead the horse.
