New eatery: Centralen in Doverodde

Did you know that Doverodde once had a telephone exchange?
A place that created connections – between people and to the world.
From here, conversations were started, and people were connected across distances.

Now, Centralen opens again – this time as a dining spot in the old merchant’s house.

Centralen opens its doors to a new gathering place centered around food, people, and local ingredients.
We believe that meals can bring us together – just like the telephone exchange once did.

With a focus on seasonal Danish ingredients, organic produce, and reducing food waste, we aim to serve thoughtful food – for our guests, for nature, and for the community.

The name Centralen also naturally ties into the wider collaboration with SMK Thy and Naturlandsbyen, where we see the eatery as a living link.
Here, art, nature, and food come together – creating new sensory and social experiences.
We hope that Centralen becomes a place where locals and visitors meet and connect – to the place, the taste, and to each other.
