Viking School: Fight like a Viking
Join Viking School on February 13, 2025, where children can fight like a Viking.
Do you know a child with the heart of a Viking?
Then join the Viking School during the winter holidays at Holstebro Museum! On Thursday, February 13, the museum garden will be transformed into a real battlefield, where everyone can learn to fight like a true Viking.
Vikings from the historical combat group Jotar Hirti will be there to share their skills. They will bring impressive swords and shields, which can be borrowed during the activity.
All children can take part
Combat training takes place at 12:00, 13:00, 14:00, and 15:00, and tickets can be purchased online. Each training session lasts 30–45 minutes and is adapted to age and skill level, so both young and older participants can join in.
Jotar Hirti is a Danish martial arts club that trains combat with axes, swords, and spears – including Viking fighting techniques.
At the warrior school, children will get to try:
- Basic training
- Drill exercises
- Combat games
Participation in the Viking School combat training during the winter holidays costs DKK 40 per person.
