Strandingsmuseum St. George tells the story of the many violent strandings along the west coast of Jutland. The name St. George originates from the English liner ship that sailed off Thorsminde Christmas Eve 1811, where approximately 1400 people perished. You can get close to life aboard through the many finds from the wrecks and experience St. George's impressive rudder in the tower, from which you get a fantastic view of Thorsminde, the harbor and the North Sea.
